... because I actually like this one, Especially when I want something light on a hot Summer day. For the record I am beer drinker and not a "Yuppie type." Oh well there's no pleasing everyone, thanks for the good read.

Thanks, Andy, (Reply to this comment)

for having the fortitude to tell it like it is about this pseudo-beer. I would rather not drink if Corona (or Heineken) was the only thing available. Great expose!
Best regards,
George

I was going to mention the tequila thing. Totally slipped my mind when writing the review. I'm sure salt helps too, anything tastes good after a mouthful of salt.

My wife buys this beer all the time (Reply to this comment)

In her mind, it's a premium beer. I just don't get it, but the more I think about it, the more I suspect that this beer is better served as an accompaniment to some Tequila shooters. The flavor doesn't get in the way, and the lime seasoning works well in continuing the flavor experience encountered while slamming shots.
Great review.

Review (Reply to this comment)

Excellent review, very well written and detailed!
Although I'm not a beer drinker, I remember when I turned 21 in the late 80's and this was THE BEER TO DRINK! My friends always said it was "an aquired taste" to drink this, and judging from your review, I can see why... the beer is horrible!
Keep up the good work, thanks for bringing back some great memories.

I still can't believe MJ found a good Mexican beer! (Reply to this comment)
by lpny216
I am talking about Casta of course! I can't believe that beer comes from Mexico. Corona is what I associate Mexican beers with. My brother, the Yuppie, always has a refrigerator full of this garbage...needless to say I don't visit often.
The saying "Don't drink the water" must be about Mexico, because when I tried Corona, I had Montezuma's Revenge for 2 days! Thus their natural ingredient-water. Remember this is a country that reaches over 1000 degrees, yet the people still enjoy the hottest peppers known to man...thus this beer would go good while you are stuffing your face with jalepeno, habanero, chili or any other hot dish on the sun's surface!
I really hate this beer, and will not review it because 1 star is extremely generous. Great Review!
