ever since I got hooked on Sam Adams' Spring Ale, I've been wanting to try some other Kolsch beers, but so far haven't found any...
Great review!
Cheers!

My one and only beer review is of a Goose Island beer. I had it on vacation, and I tried a couple different varieties and liked them all.
Your review was really well done, I just wish that I could get the stuff.

Great Review! (Reply to this comment)

In addition to Kolsch and lambic, some would argue hefeweizen should be an appelation contolee, but I'm not one of them. In Germany, Oktoberfest is protected, only the original Munich brewers can use it.
I have found most American Kolschs to have a subtle touch of fruit. The Reisdorf was like a lager, very clean indeed. In many respects I find the American versions more interesting than Reisdorf. The Goose Island is one of my favorites, along with Long Trails version.
Cheers!

When in Chicago .... Do as the Chicagoans do.... Just got back from Chicago and purchased a six of this great brew. Brought home 2, with the first I may try my hand at a beer review and the second is adding to the decor of my bar. - Great review!

As always, a great review. I enjoy reading your beer reviews --- always creative and informative. Your wife's music reviews are another favorite read of mine. Two talented writers under one roof --- wow!
Keep up the great work. Interesting intro to this one. :)

Good intro to your review (Reply to this comment)

really, you should write a general comment about this. I agree with you on this point and think it is silly for some to expect (or demand) that people read their reviews word for word.
