Smack Dab on Target! (Reply to this comment)
by mrkstvns
As usual, your review pretty much pegs this one smack on the conk. I drink a lot of Tecate, and while I can't say it's anything great to shout about, it's also much better than many people give it credit for being. I think your assessment that Tecate is a step up from Budweiser is 100% accurate. Not a great brew, but yeah, better than a Bud.
Thanks for the insight!

It's nice to finally see you writing again. I started to miss reading your informative beer reviews, and when you said you got bored of this site, I thought you were really leaving us for a moment there.
Anyway, great review and I hope I can read more of your informative reviews.

The events of the past few weeks and the bugginess of Epinions web-site (coincidence?) have knocked a number of the more prolific writers out of circulation for a bit. But back to the topic.
I think you pretty well nailed Tecate beer on this one. I do find that it goes quite well with cheap burritos in a cheap Taqueria, which is the norm in this part of Arizona. Perhaps Epinions should set up a new category for "Dining while Slumming" :-)

Nice to see a new review from you. I, like you, have been glued to the telly. For a while there, I have been flipping through CNN, FOX, MSNBC, CNBC from 11 pm to 3 am, catching all the refeeds and updates. Just have not been living a normal life.
A DBR for you, huh? That sounds like quite an extravagance considering our energy crisis in California. Well, the nice thing about having a DBR: you'll now have room for some food in your other refrigerator.
I am trying to figure out why I gave this beer a 4-star rating. Must have been a hot day when I had it.
Cheers, and take care,
Tom / 4-1-1
